Everything You Need to Know

Every Goldman's Grain piece is finished with food-safe mineral oil that is 100% non-toxic and baby safe. No stains, no polyurethane, no mystery coatings. The finish is the same grade used on cutting boards and baby spoons — completely safe for teething, mouthing, and everyday play. All edges are hand-sanded smooth through multiple grits.
Every piece is made to order. Most orders ship within 3–5 business days from Raleigh, NC. Once shipped, USPS Priority Mail typically delivers within 2–3 days anywhere in the US. Need it by a specific date? Message us and we'll do everything we can to make it happen. Shipping is always free.
Absolutely. Personalization is one of the best parts of what we do. You can add names, initials, birth dates, or short messages to most products. Just message us on Etsy before or after ordering with what you'd like, and we'll work it into the design. Custom shapes and sizes are also welcome — if you can picture it in solid hardwood, Brenden can build it.
We use four North American hardwoods: Hard Maple (light, fine-grained), Black Walnut (rich dark chocolate), Black Cherry (warm reddish-brown), and White Oak (golden with ray fleck figure). Every piece is 100% solid hardwood — no plywood, no MDF, no veneers, no particle board. Ever. You can choose your preferred wood species on most products.
